During a new interview with Elliot Wilson for the latest installment of TIDAL's #CRWN series, Weezy also talks about late rapper XXXTentacion.

AceShowbiz - Lil Wayne missed out on landing rap pal Drake on his new "Tha Carter V" album due to sampling issues.

In a new interview with Elliot Wilson for the latest installment of TIDAL's #CRWN series on Wednesday night, October 3, the "Lollipop" hitmaker opened up about his decision to leave his new Drake track off the new album.

"He had a song that didn't get cleared," he said, explaining fans will be stunned when the mystery track eventually comes out.

"People be tripping when they find out who it is... about," he laughs.

During the interview, Wayne also confessed he had no idea who tragic rapper XXXTENTACION was prior to including him on the album, explaining sidekick Mack Maine urged him to include the young star.

XXXTENTACION was killed this summer during an armed robbery outside a Florida motorcycle dealership.

Wayne's new album, released on his birthday at the end of last month, was supposed to drop in 2012, but it was shelved amid the rapper's legal wrangle with his mentor and Young Money label co-founder Birdman.

He and Birdman ended their legal war over the album's release and royalties in July.
