The 'Batman Begins' star undergoes a major makeover to portray the former Vice President of the United States.

AceShowbiz - Annapurna Pictures has released the first footage for a Dick Cheney biopic titled "Vice (2018)". The short sneak peek does not share much of the storyline, but offers a glimpse of Christian Bale's portrayal of the former Vice President of the United States.

At a glance, it will be hard to recognize the actor as he underwent a complete transformation to portray Cheney. He sports a rounder belly, white hair and receding hairline as he walks down the hallway in the first several seconds of the video.

In another scene, he's seen dancing with Amy Adams, who plays the former Vice President's wife, Lynne Cheney. He's also featured walking in the desert with several men wearing Middle Eastern outfits.

"Vice" follows Cheney’s controversial stance as a Washington bureaucrat who played an important role in launching the Iraq War while also courting controversy outside the political sphere. It stars Steve Carell as former defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Sam Rockwell as George W. Bush, Bill Pullman as Nelson Rockefeller, and Tyler Perry as Colin Powell.

Adam McKay, who directed Bale in "The Big Short", serves behind the lens for the biopic. He told Deadline of the actor's performance as Cheney, "What Christian Bale really does is he psychologically breaks someone apart and puts them back together again. I've never seen someone work so hard at it, and it is hard on him, but really amazing to watch. The second I thought of doing the movie, I knew right away, the most exciting person to play him is Christian."
