'Her apologies just ring hollow,' an insider close to the Duchess of Sussex claims.

AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle's half-sister Samantha Markle is currently in London. While many have expected that the latter will use the opportunity to further slam the Duchess of Sussex. However, much to everyone's surprise, Samantha made a public apologies on TV for what she had said to Meghan. If she thinks that Meghan will buy her words, though, she's wrong.

"Meghan won't be watching any of Samantha's TV interviews, and it's doubtful she will read any of her interviews either, but she is being briefed daily on what's being said," a source close to Meghan claims to HollywoodLife.com.

"At this point it really doesn't matter what Samantha says, Meghan really has no desire to resume any kind of relationship with her," adds the source. "Her apologies just ring hollow."

Besides Samantha, Meghan's father has also had enough criticism towards her, her husband Prince Harry and the British royal family. However, "it's a whole different situation with Thomas" as the former "Suits" actress is planning to patch things up.

"Meghan loves her father dearly, and she truly believes he has been exploited and manipulated into behaving the way he has," the insider continued. According to the source, the new royal will definitely make good with her father, when she decides it's the right time to do so.

As for Samantha, she is "a whole different issue." Meghan allegedly "would have no problem with never seeing or hearing from her again, and she couldn't care less how many apologies she publicly makes."

During her appearance on "Jeremy Vine's U.K." talk show, Samantha insisted much of what has been attributed to her has been spun by the media. "I thought in the beginning, when we spoke publicly, I thought we were being open-hearted and even favourable and that fell on deaf ears and the media turned it into something it's not," she said. "I apologize and I wish things could be different."
