AceShowbiz - Kanye West caused another social media outrage when he suggested that the government should abolish the legislation that outlawed slavery. After receiving mass backlash from celebrity peers and fans, the hip-hop mogul took to Twitter to clarify what he meant to say in his previous tweet.
"Not abolish but. Let's amend the 13 amendment," he said on the micro-blogging site. "We apply everyone's opinions to our platform." As of now, the tweet has garnered more than one thousand retweets and twelve thousand likes.

Kanye, who was previously slammed for his infamous "slavery was a choice" comment, faced backlash after he posted a picture of him wearing the MAGA hat and said that the cap "represents good and America becoming whole again." He said, "We build factories here in America and create jobs. We will provide jobs for all who are free from prisons as we abolish the 13th amendment. Message sent with love."
His comment angered a lot of people, including Chris Evans. In response to the tweet, the Captain America depicter said, "There's nothing more maddening than debating someone who doesn't know history, doesn't read books, and frames their myopia as virtue. The level of unapologetic conjecture I've encountered lately isn't just frustrating, it's retrogressive, unprecedented and absolutely terrifying."
This weekend has been tough for Kanye. In addition to the backlash that he received for his recent tweet, he was booed during his "Saturday Night Live" performance due to his pro-Donald Trump rant. Despite that, he still receives support from his family.
During his performance on the Emmy-winning comedy show, Kim Kardashian and their eldest daughter North were watching from the side. Kim even took to Instagram Stories to share a video of the 5-year-old girl dancing and clapping excitedly as her dad wrapped up. When Kanye approached them, she grabbed his hand and prompted him to pick her up.
