The 'Fargo' star will take on the role of Huntress, while the 'True Blood' alum will portray Black Canary in the upcoming DC-related flick.

AceShowbiz - Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Jurnee Smollett-Bell will line up alongside Margot Robbie in the much-anticipated new "Birds of Prey" blockbuster.

Warner Bros. bosses have cast Winstead as Huntress, while Jurnee will tackle the character Black Canary, aka Dinah Lance, in the DC Comics movie, scheduled to hit the big screen in February, 2020.

Robbie reprises her "Suicide Squad" role of Harley Quinn in the film.

Winstead was up against Sofia Boutella, Cristin Milioti, and Margaret Qualley for the part of Huntress, according to Deadline sources, while Gugu Mbatha-Raw was also considered for the role of Black Canary.

The role of Birds of Prey's Rene Montoya has yet to be decided with actresses Justina Machado and Roberta Colindrez reportedly in the mix.

Robbie will produce the film alongside her Luckychap partners, while Cathy Yan will make history by becoming the first female Asian director ever tapped to take charge of a superhero film.
