Meanwhile, Ben Higgins, being a former football player himself, advices Colton to keep transforming while finding his love in the upcoming season of ABC show.

AceShowbiz - It's still months away until "The Bachelor" returns for a new season with new star Colton Underwood, but it's never too early for some advice. "The Bachelor" alums Nick Viall and Ben Higgins offer some words for Colton, who previously competed in the 14th season of "The Bachelorette" with Becca Kufrin and the latest season of "Bachelor in Paradise".

Nick told to E! News at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Friday, September 21, "The difficult thing about being the 'Bachelor' is making people feel bad when you break up with them." However, he encouraged the former NFL player to "forthcoming with your feelings" because not being able to would just make him feel "worse."

He then continued saying that "he's got to follow his heart." Nick previously appeared in season 10 and 11 of "The Bachelorette" as well as season 3 of "Bachelor in Paradise" before he starred in season 21 of "The Bachelor" where he proposed to winner Vanessa Grimaldi.

Meanwhile, Ben, being a former football player himself, adviced Colton to keep transforming. "Keep feeling it, keep exploring, keep growing," he said. Ben competed with Nick in season 11 of "The Bachelorette". Later he starred in his own season of "The Bachelor" in which he was engaged to Lauren Bushnell.

Colton was named the new Bachelor a few weeks before. Appearing on "Good Morning America", the 26-year-old hunk revealed that he was "very excited" about meeting his potential future wife on the show. What he's "looking forward to most" was getting engaged by the end of his season, "and just getting married shortly after that."

"So excited and grateful for a new adventure... It's time to find a wife!" he excitedly wrote on Twitter shortly after the announcement was made.

Season 23 of "The Bachelor" will premiere in January in 2019.
