AceShowbiz - Hailee Steinfeld is the latest celebrity victim of hackers. The "Pitch Perfect 3" star's Twitter account was broken into on Friday, September 21 as the hacker accused the singer/actress of being racist with an allegedly edited screenshot of her Twitter DM.
In a series of deleted posts, the hacker wrote, "Lol haley steinfield is racist just found a dm of her using the n word." S/he attached a screenshot of Hailee's DM which saw her saying, "jeez what a f***ing n****r."

The rest of the messages were not shown, prompting fans to assume that it was edited. "this is edited right? there's no way she would say that." a fan said. One other believed that "the DM was definitely photoshopped by the hacker."

"hailee steinfeld is so unproblematic someone had to hack her and photoshop a dm," another fan echoed the remarks. Meanwhile, another fans seemingly thought that the hacking had something to do with rumors of Hailee dating Niall Horan. "Which 1d stans hacked Hailee Steinfeld acc," the fan asked.

Fortunately, Hailee managed to recover her account. She assured fans that the DM was nothing but a fake one. "Hi everyone, my Twitter was clearly hacked. Everything is back to normal. Love you all. Thank you for looking out for me!" she tweeted.
