The Emmy-winning actor will be playing a character which name is eerily familiar for the DC Comics fans.

AceShowbiz - It looks like the superheroes in the upcoming Arrowverse crossover will be dealing with Doctor Destiny. The CW's annual TV event featuring Arrow, Supergirl and The Flash has added "Lost" alum Jeremy Davie to the growing cast, playing a character which name is eerily familiar for the DC Comics fans.

Davies is set to take on a character named Dr. John Deegan. According to the official description, the character is depicted as "a doctor at Arkham Asylum For the Criminally Insane in Gotham City." The description continues, "He might just be crazier than the inmates he treats. His machinations will draw Green Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl to Gotham City."

Fans assume that the character is the alter-ego of Doctor Destiny, John Dee. In the comics, Dee was introduced as "Justice League of America". Having the power to manipulate dreams, he's better known for his appearances in some of the more controversial issues of Neil Gaiman's "Sandman".

Davies previously appeared on FOX's "Sleepy Hollow". His credits also include "American Gods", "Twin Peaks" and "Justified", from which he won an Emmy for his role as a rural Kentucky outlaw named Dickie Bennett. The actor is set to appear in "The House That Jack Built", which will hit theaters in November.

Davies will join other newcomers for the three-night crossover including Cassandra Jean Amell and Elizabeth Tulloch. Amell, the real-life wife of Arrow depicter Stephen Amell, was cast as Nora Fries, the wife of Victor Fries a.k.a. Batman villain Mister Freeze. Meanwhile, Tulloch will portray Lois Lane.

This year's crossover is set to begin on Sunday, December 9 with "The Flash" at 8 P.M. It will later be followed by an "Arrow" episode on Monday, December 10 at 8 P.M. "Supergirl" will conclude on the following night at 8 P.M. on The CW.
