Rita Ora Laments Troubled Relationship on New Banger 'Let You Love Me'

On the song, the British songstress can be heard blaming herself for continuously disappointing her lover.

AceShowbiz - A few days after announcing the release date of her sophomore album "Phoenix", Rita Ora has given fans a taste of the forthcoming set. The British songstress premiered "Let You Love Me" on Thursday, September 20.

The song features danceable beat with sugary synths. Despite the up tempo beat, Rita can be heard lamenting about the trouble in her relationship and blaming herself for the state of their relationship. "I should've stayed with you last night/ Instead of going out to find trouble," she sings. "I think I tun away sometimes/ Whenever I get too vulnerable/ That's not yourself."

She continues blaming herself through the chorus and second verse, where she rhymes about how she wants to apologize to no avail. "And every time I push away/ I really wanna say that I'm sorry," she sings. "But I say nothing."

A music video for the music video will be unveiled on Friday, September 21.

"Phoenix" is due out on November 23. Aside from the new song, it will feature previously released tracks such as "Anywhere" and her collaboration with Avicii on "Lonely Together". "For You", her duet with Liam Payne for "Fifty Shades Freed" soundtrack, will also be included on the upcoming album.

"One of the most liberating feelings for me is performing and creating music. This album is a true labor of love, and it was important for me to do it my way," she previously said in a statement. "I'm so appreciative of the love and support from those who worked with me on the record and allowed me to create something I'm really proud of. They gave me the space and freedom to create something from my heart."

She continued, "Both challenging and euphoric at times, I am really proud of and grateful for the journey that the making of 'Phoenix' has taken me on."
