The Canadian hunk points out how the legendary actor inspired a humorous marketing campaign for 'Deadpool'.

AceShowbiz - Ryan Reynolds is among stars who have paid tribute to Burt Reynolds following the "Boogie Nights" actor's passing on Thursday, September 6. But instead of making an emotional post, the Canadian actor keeps it humorous while still remembering the late actor's legacy.

The "Deadpool" actor shared a picture of naked Burt which, according to Ryan, inspired a marketing campaign for his anti-hero movie. He wrote in the caption, "He did it first. And best. And naked. #BurtReynolds."

Ryan Reynolds posts a hilarious tribute to Burt Reynolds on Twitter.

Burt Reynolds passed away in a Florida hospital on September 6 after suffering a cardiac arrest. A 911 call made from the actor's Florida mansion revealed he was still alive at the time the call was made, just after noon on Thursday.

In a tape obtained by TMZ, the male caller described the actor's condition which suggested that he had a heart attack. The man said Burt was "experiencing difficulty breathing and chest pains." He was still breathing but wasn't answering questions or able to talk.

After paramedics arrived, he was rushed to Jupiter Medical where he was pronounced dead. His niece, Nancy Lee Hess, said in a statement after Burt's passing, "My uncle was not just a movie icon; he was a generous, passionate and sensitive man who was dedicated to his family, friends, fans and acting students. He has had health issues, however, this was totally unexpected. He was tough. Anyone who breaks their tailbone on a river and finishes the movie is tough."

Burt had a major heart surgery in February 2010 and was in and out of the hospital since then. He remained active as an actor until his sudden passing, having been tapped to star in Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood". The 82-year-old actor, however, hadn't filmed his scenes yet. Burt had filmed "Defining Moments" which has not been released.
