To honour the event and the new project, transport chiefs in New York City have created customised Egypt Station MetroCards.

AceShowbiz - Paul McCartney is planning another top secret Egypt Station show in New York after wowing fans with intimate gigs in Liverpool and London.

The former Beatles star has surprised fans with plans to perform somewhere in the Big Apple on Friday, September 07 - the day his new album is released.

To honour the event and the new project, transport chiefs in New York City have created customised Egypt Station MetroCards, which fans can use to get to the gig - wherever it is.

"See you at #EGYPTSTATION this Friday evening... #NewYork #FridayNight #DontMissTheTrain," Sir Paul wrote as the caption under an image of the new MetroCard posted on social media.

The official Paul McCartney MetroCards can be purchased at New York's Grand Central Station and are available at larger vending machines and station booths while supplies last.

The concert will be live streamed via McCartney's official YouTube Channel.

Paul played surprise summer shows at a pub in his native Liverpool during a Carpool Karaoke segment for America's The Late Late Show, and at the Beatles' former recording home, Abbey Road Studios in north London.

He'll also serve as the musical guest on Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show on Thursday, September 06.
