Paul McCartney announces two intimate shows at Hollywood's Fonda Theatre. Get details on these exclusive concerts and ticket registration.

AceShowbiz - The legendary musician Paul McCartney is set to perform two exclusive concerts at the Hollywood Fonda Theatre on March 26 and 27. These shows mark his first live appearances since concluding his arena tour in November of last year.
The Fonda Theatre offers a much more intimate setting with a capacity of 1,200, contrasting with the large venues McCartney recently played. While these two concerts might be one-offs, the announcement has sparked speculation among fans about a possible new project, such as an album reveal, though historically, McCartney has also been known to simply enjoy performing live.
Ticket registration opened at 9 a.m. PT on Tuesday through an AXS website, where fans could sign up until 10 p.m. PT Wednesday. Importantly, registering early or late in the window does not affect the chances of being selected. Fans may register for both dates but only one registration per show is allowed. Each successful registrant can purchase up to two tickets, but registering does not guarantee the opportunity to buy. Those chosen will receive an invitation to purchase tickets at an undisclosed time.
Interestingly, the announcement became public around 9 a.m. Monday, but some attentive fans noticed the news earlier when the phrase Paul McCartney Rocks the Fonda! appeared on the theater’s marquee in the morning hours.
This choice to book a smaller venue recalls McCartney’s February 2025 performances at New York’s 575-capacity Bowery Ballroom. Those shows seemingly served as warm-ups for his appearance on the "Saturday Night Live" 50th anniversary special, though this was never officially confirmed. It remains unclear if the upcoming Fonda Theatre concerts have a similar preparatory intent.
McCartney has been transparent about spending intermittent time in the studio over recent years, largely collaborating with producer Andrew Watt. He has hinted at plans to release a new album in 2026. His latest studio work, McCartney III, was a solo project created during the pandemic and released in December 2020. Fans have been eagerly awaiting news of new material, but no official announcements have yet been made.
Over the past year, McCartney has maintained a high profile, not only through his successful arena tour but also with the release of a documentary focused on his 1970s work with Wings, titled Man on the Run. Accompanying the documentary, an oral history book about Wings was also published, further celebrating that era of his career.
At present, no additional touring plans are known, which makes these intimate live dates in Los Angeles all the more unexpected and intriguing for fans and observers alike.
