AceShowbiz - AC/DC are reportedly working on new material that features late guitarist Malcolm Young's last recordings.

Young, who died last year (17), features on every track of a planned new album, according to JAM Magazine sources.

The album will be dedicated to band leader Angus Young's brother, who was forced to retire from the band to battle early onset dementia.

A source tells the Dallas, Texas publication, "It turns out, five years prior to the Black Ice album, Angus and Malcolm Young lived to together, where they literally wrote hundreds of songs, many were recorded and have been stashed away until now (sic).

"Angus has decided to selected (sic) the best tracks from those recordings that Malcolm played on and is now back in the studio recording and mixing them with fellow bandmates Phil Rudd, Cliff Williams and, yes, Brian Johnson on vocals."

Johnson was forced to quit the band in 2016 after suffering hearing loss, and he was replaced on tour by Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose. Rumours suggesting the Brit was back with the band started circulating last month, when he was spotted hanging out with the band's former drummer, Rudd, in Vancouver, Canada.

Rudd was ousted from the group in 2015 following claims he threatened to kill a former employee. He was convicted last year (17) for drug possession and making threats.

Meanwhile, Axl Rose confessed to The Rockpit in March that Angus Young was working on new material.
