AceShowbiz - Drake's smash hit In My Feelings has been named Spotify's official Song of the Summer.

The rap superstar racked up more than 393 million streams between 1 June and 20 August to top both the U.S. and the global lists, fuelled by the popularity of the song's viral dance challenge, created by Instagram personality and comedian Shoker, aka Shiggy.

Drake beats a double charge from Cardi B, who occupies second and third place in the worldwide poll thanks to her Maroon 5 collaboration Girls Like You, which was streamed 293 million times, and her I Like It hit with J Balvin and Bad Bunny, which amassed more than 289 million plays.

Juice WRLD's Lucid Dreams and Sad! by tragic rapper XXXTENTACION round out the global top five, while other popular summer tracks include Better Now by Post Malone, Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa's One Kiss, Solo from Clean Bandit and Demi Lovato, and No Tears Left to Cry from Ariana Grande.

Meanwhile, in the U.S. countdown, Lucid Dreams and Sad! land at two and three, respectively, ahead of Cardi's I Like It at four. Drake's Nice For What rounds out the nation's top five, while he also has six other tunes dominating the Spotify list, including God's Plan and I'm Upset.

XXXTENTACION, who was shot dead in June, aged 20, is another top pick for fans, who have been honouring his memory by also streaming his songs Moonlight, Changes, and Jocelyn Flores, which all feature in the summer top 20.
