AceShowbiz - A group of alleged would-be burglars reportedly planned to hit Demi Lovato's home while she is away at rehab following her suspected overdose last month.

The Confident singer, who has a history of drink and drug abuse, was hospitalised in late July after she was found unresponsive in her Los Angeles home, and has since checked into a rehabilitation facility to help her regain her sobriety.

According to TMZ, a group of alleged thieves were arrested after she entered into rehab and police subsequently learned they were planning on targeting her home while she was away. The alleged burglars' arrests were not connected to Lovato, but investigators reportedly found out there were electronic communications about their alleged plans.

After learning about their alleged desires to break into her home, police reportedly upped security and started patrolling the area.
