AceShowbiz - Queen Latifah is to be honoured with one of Philadelphia's top awards.
The rapper, actress and TV personality has been named the recipient of the Marian Anderson Award, named for the pioneering opera singer, who became the first black singer to perform at the Metropolitan Opera.
The honour is given to "critically acclaimed artists who have impacted society in a positive way."
City Mayor Jim Kenney announced the news on Tuesday, August 21.
Previous recipients include Dionne Warwick and Patti LaBelle.
Latifah will collect her latest accolade at a gala on 20 November.
