Detroit Tigers stages a moment of silence to honour the soul legend ahead of their game against the visiting Chicago Cubs at Comerica Park.

AceShowbiz - Baseball fans in Detroit, Michigan were wowed by a rainbow that appeared during a tribute to late city queen Aretha Franklin at the ballpark on Tuesday evening, August 21.
Bosses at the Detroit Tigers opted to stage a moment of silence to honour the soul legend, who died last week, August 16, ahead of their game against the visiting Chicago Cubs at Comerica Park.
And just as the tribute began a rainbow appeared in the sky above the JumboTron screen featuring Franklin's face and the words "Respect" and "Forever our queen".
Tigers officials posted a photo of the magical moment on Twitter and added the caption: "Some pictures say it all".

Meanwhile, a group of top U.S. politicians has introduced legislation to honour the late star with the Congressional Gold Medal.
Senators Kamala Harris of California and Orrin Hatch of Utah introduced the bill on Tuesday, August 21, supported by politicians from Georgia, Aretha's adopted Michigan and her home state of Tennessee.
"The Queen of Soul instilled hope, uplifted generations, and changed the lives of millions," the bill reads, while Democrat Harris called the late soul legend's music "the soundtrack of my childhood".
Republican Hatch added, "She touched the hearts of millions, lifting all of us with songs of hope and humanity".
The Congressional Gold Medal is the highest commendation from Congress and was first awarded to George Washington.
