The 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before' star promises to become 'a more informed and educated version of myself' after his old remarks, which seemed to belittle the Black Lives Matter movement, are unearthed.

AceShowbiz - The star of new Netflix movie hit To All the Boys I've Loved Before has apologised for past tweets that appear to belittle the Black Lives Matter movement.
Israel Broussard, who plays Josh Sanderson in the movie, has taken to Twitter to post his regrets over remarks he made in 2011 and 2016, which have recently been unearthed.
In one he writes: "Hashtags don't f**king matter. But all lives do. Black lives matter. White lives matter. Police lives matter".

In another, which has since been deleted, he scolds: "Black Lives Matter has one goal. Division." And, in a third, he takes aim at Japan, writing: "Dogs can sense earthquakes. Too bad Japan ate them all".

In a new tweet, the 24 year old writes: "I am deeply sorry for my inappropriate and insensitive words and likes on social media. I take full responsibility for my actions and I sincerely (apologize). This has been a pivotal life lesson for me. I am dedicated to becoming a more informed and educated version of myself".
