The Aerosmith frontman has sent the U.S. president a cease-and-desist letter in an effort to encourage him to stop using the band's music at his rallies.

AceShowbiz - Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler has sent a cease-and-desist letter to U.S. President Donald Trump in an effort to encourage him to stop using the band's music at his rallies.
The political leader held a campaign event at the Charleston Civic Center in West Virginia on Tuesday, August 21 and the group's 1993 song Livin' on the Edge was playing as supporters entered the venue to listen to what President Trump had to say.

According to Variety, Tyler's attorney Dina LaPolt has sent a legal letter to officials at the White House accusing them of "willful infringement in broadcasting the song". LaPolt also argues the song's broadcast suggests the band members endorse or support the President.
"Mr. Trump is creating the false impression that our client has given his consent for the use of his music, and even that he endorses the presidency of Mr. Trump," a portion of the letter reads. "By using Livin' On The Edge without our client's permission, Mr. Trump is falsely implying that our client... endorses his campaign and/or his presidency, as evidenced by actual confusion seen from the reactions of our client's fans all over social media..."

This isn't the first time the band has taken President Trump to task over the use of its music - in 2015, the politician was sent a similar letter after he played Dream On at one of his campaign events.
