The music video also sees the new mother and her collaboration partner performing in telephone booths which are floating over the ocean.

AceShowbiz - Prior to opening the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, Cardi B has treated fans to a music video for "Ring" featuring Kehlani. Released on August 20, the visuals was directed by Mike Ho with Leslie Terrero serving as executive producer.

The three-minute video opens with Cardi getting entangled in a web of phone lines, before she moves to a telephone booth which is floating over the ocean. Her collaboration partner is also seen performing in another booth.

Later in the clip, the two appear together in similar silver-toned outfits with both sporting long platinum blonde locks. While the new mother stunts in a trenchcoat dress, Kehlani looks gorgeous in a structured gown with a flowing skirt. "You don't hit my line no more, oh oh/ You don't make it ring, ring, ring, ring," Kehlani sings.

Following the release of the music video, Cardi took to Instagram to confess that she was a little bit "pissed" because no one told her the video would be released that day. "Alright guys, so I'm a little pissed because I woke up this morning and I go on Instagram... I see the 'Ring' video came out!" she said in a video.

"I'm happy for the response it's getting, but it's just like, I didn't even get to see the final edits for the video. I didn't even know it was supposed to even come out today," she continued, before adding that she wished she could have received a heads up so she could promote the video properly. "Y'all should have let me know so I could have announced it, promoted it and s**t, let my fans know."

Concluding her video, she said, "I don't even know if it's on YouTube to go look at, but f**k it, I hope y'all enjoy it I guess."

The visuals for "Ring" marks her first music video since giving birth to her first daughter Kulture, whom she shares with Offset. The song itself peaked at No. 28 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.
