'The day I met her, I was like, 'Hey, I'll marry you tomorrow,' ' the 'Saturday Night Live' star reveals.

AceShowbiz - Pete Davidson told fiancee Ariana Grande he would "marry her tomorrow" when they first met.

The "Saturday Night Live" comedian and "No Tears Left To Cry" singer made headlines with their engagement in June, just weeks after they began dating. However, in a new interview with U.S. magazine GQ, the funnyman admitted it happened even quicker than that as he knew immediately he wanted Ariana to be his wife.

"The day I met her, I was like, 'Hey, I'll marry you tomorrow,'" he said. "She was calling my bluff. I sent her a picture (of engagement rings). I was like, 'Do you like any of these?' She was like, 'Those are my favorite ones,' and I was like, 'Sick.'"

They have since moved into an apartment in New York, which reportedly cost $16 million (£12.6 million). Ariana footed the bill, while Pete is in charge of keeping the fridge stocked up, and they are both working on decorating.

"She's really sweet. She's like, 'This is our house,' and I'm like, 'You're very nice for saying that. Thank you for letting me stay here,'" he joked. "She's like, 'We're getting married!' And I'm like, 'I know, thank you for letting me stay here.'

"It's like, we have six beanbags, but we have no forks - you know what I mean? We're learning how to be adults. We're having a really fun time."

They haven't started making plans for their wedding, but Pete insists it's "definitely going to happen, for sure."

The 24-year-old candidly told the magazine that he knows he wouldn't be offered the interview if he wasn't engaged to a "super-famous person", and he can no longer keep up with articles written about him.

"I gotta tell you, up until about two months ago, if someone wrote about me, I saw it," he explained. "Nobody gave a s**t two months ago, so anytime there was an article, I would obviously see it, because my mom would send it to me and be like, 'Yaaay!'."
