Darwin Hall, who was reportedly hired by the 'Deadpool 2' actor to manage his social media accounts and personal website, claims he was never paid for the more than 6,000 hours he worked for the star.

AceShowbiz - Actor Terry Crews has been accused of failing to pay an ex-employee more than $1 million (£788,000).

Darwin Hall claims he was initially hired by the "Deadpool 2" star back in 1999, at the start of Crews' acting career, and went on to manage his social media accounts and personal website.

He alleges he received just under $28,500 (£22,500) for all of his work, although about half of the sum was reimbursement for expenses, and now he is going after Crews for more than 6,000 hours he maintains he was never paid for, at a rate of $55 (£43) an hour.

According to Variety.com, Hall is also accusing Crews of defamation, claiming the action man used his Twitter account in December 2017 to call him out in a series of posts, reportedly encouraging his followers to attack him online - with some supposedly threatening his life.

"Plaintiff Hall was terrified and feared for his safety as well as that of his family," reads the lawsuit.

In the tweets in question, Crews claimed to be the victim of "the 'friend' hustle", and told his one million followers he had to cut ties with an unnamed pal the star had been paying to help him out for reportedly "building porn sites" on the actor's domain.

He went on to brand the person a "mirroring sociopath", alleging he would "regularly confess wrongdoings under the guise of 'being honest,' but it really was just a form of intimidation".
