The trek will be in support of the rocker's forthcoming solo album release, 'Solo Anthology - The Best of Lindsey Buckingham'.

AceShowbiz - Rocker Lindsey Buckingham is brushing off his unexpected Fleetwood Mac exit by embarking on his own solo tour, which will begin days after his former bandmates hit the road.

The singer and guitarist left the legendary group in April, with his bandmate and former girlfriend, Stevie Nicks, blaming his exit on a work conflict, which left him unable to fit Fleetwood Mac rehearsals into his busy schedule.

Lindsey subsequently insisted his departure was "not something that was my doing or my choice", but now he is bouncing back from the career upset by returning to the road for his own live shows in October.

The trek will be in support of his forthcoming album release, Solo Anthology - The Best of Lindsey Buckingham, a collection of his greatest hits, with live and alternate version of his favourite tracks, including Law and Order, Go Insane, Out of the Cradle, and Under the Skin. It will also include two new tunes, Hunger and Ride This Road.

Meanwhile, Nicks and her remaining bandmates, Mick Fleetwood, and John and Christine McVie, have replaced Buckingham with Crowded House star Neil Finn and Mike Campbell from the late Tom Petty's backing band The Heartbreakers for an upcoming tour, which kicks off on 3 October in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

They will debut the new line-up at 2018 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas in late September.
