The 'Sorry Not Sorry' singer's rep also confirms in a statement that 'some of the information being reported is incorrect.'

AceShowbiz - Demi Lovato's team has broken their silence on the singer's condition after news broke that she was hospitalized for apparent drug overdose. Her rep confirms that Demi is conscious and surrounded by family.

"Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support," her rep says in a statement. "Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now."

The former Disney darling was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles on Tuesday, July 24 after being found unconscious in her Hollywood Hills home around noon. Law enforcement said Demi was treated with Narcan, an emergency treatment to reverse the effects of a narcotic overdose. TMZ initially reported that the overdose was heroin-related, but it was untrue. The cause of her overdose remains unknown.

According to The Blast, Demi and other people at her home were "uncooperative" with police and would not tell them what drugs she took when questioned about her overdose. The site further reported LAPD officers collected an "item of evidence" related to illegal drugs that is not typically associated with heroin.

LAPD is allegedly not investigating the incident and considering it a medical incident rather than a criminal one.

Following news of her hospitalization, her show in Atlantic City, New Jersey which is set to take place on Thursday, July 26 was canceled. FOX also pulled an episode of "Beat Shazam" featuring a surprise appearance by Demi in light of the incident. The network said in a statement, "In light of recent reports, we have decided to replace the episode of 'Beat Shazam' with another all-new episode. Our thoughts go out to Demi and her family."
