Mayor Jim Kenney and Roc Nation finally agree on terms to keep the festival at its current site for years to come.

AceShowbiz - Jay-Z's Made in America festival is staying in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania following a summit between the city's Mayor and the rapper's representatives.

Jay-Z threatened to move his festival to another metropolis if he wasn't allowed to stage it on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway from 2019 and beyond, and he attacked city leader Jim Kenney for plotting to move the event without consulting him.

The Mayor insisted the whole fuss was a misunderstanding and on Monday, July 23, he sat down with the rapper's Roc Nation company partners to end the bitter stand-off.

Kenney and Roc Nation Chief Operating Officer Desiree Perez agreed on terms to keep the festival at its current site for years to come.

After the meeting, Mayor Kenney released a statement, which read: "I am greatly appreciative of everything that Made in America has done for the City of Philadelphia and I remain committed to its continued success".

"The Made in America festival belongs in Philadelphia - the birthplace of our country - and I'm optimistic that we can turn an unfortunate misunderstanding into a positive outcome and even stronger event. I look forward to working with Roc Nation and Live Nation, and maintaining this Philadelphia tradition for years to come".

Jay-Z launched Made in America in 2012 and this year's headliners include former couple Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj.
