AceShowbiz - Queen Elizabeth II isn't done spoiling her grandson Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle following their royal wedding on May 19. The Queen apparently has another spectacular gift for the newlywed couple as she reportedly gives them the fanciest new house ever.
In addition to gifting the pair a York Cottage on Sandringham Estate as a wedding gift, the Queen showers the newly-minted Duke and Duchess of Sussex with another house. It is reported that the pair are given an Adelaide Cottage that is located in the heart of the Home Park in Windsor.
The property is the former residence of Princess Margaret's lover Peter Townsend. The house was built in 1831 and was a retreat for William IV's wife Queen Adelaide. Underwent renovation in 2015, the cottage is described as "picturesque" by the heritage organisation Historic England.
The Grade II listed property allegedly has "a coved ceiling with gilded dolphins" and "rope ornament from a 19th Century Royal yacht" in the main bedroom. The cottage also boosts a marble Graeco-Egyptian fireplace.
In addition to being located close to the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh’s private apartments, the new house will give the couple extra privacy they may need. It has seven gated entrances and exits to Windsor Castle, making the newlyweds able to come and go without worrying about being photographed.
The Adelaide Cottage is also a perfect place for Harry since it is only a few miles from the Guards Polo Club in Windsor Great Park, which he regularly visits.
Meghan and Harry reportedly will "move in soon." It means they won't be living in Harry's Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace any longer.
Kensington Palace has yet to comment on the report.
