AceShowbiz - Country singers Michael Ray and Carly Pearce have gone public with their budding romance.
The musicians each took to Instagram on Wednesday, July 18, to share a snap of themselves cuddling up backstage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee, and made it clear they're dating.
"One random night over old classic country music at @thenashvillepalace (bar and live music venue) changed everything....," Michael captioned the image, as Carly added a similar note on her page.
The two stars had been hinting at their new relationship on social media this week, with Michael openly flirting with Carly after uploading a picture of himself looking into a mirror as he pointed out how his dark hair was quickly going grey.
Carly responded to the image by using emojis of a drooling face and fire, to which Michael quipped, "@carlypearce hey gurl you into fox's (sic)? Or 30 year olds that can get that 50+ 10% off at a Golden Corral (chain restaurant)? Cause if you are..."
"@michaelraymusic steakhouses are the way to my heart," she cheekily replied.
Michael also had nothing but good things to say about Carly as he was quizzed about the very friendly online exchange, although he stopped short of confirming the romance rumours at the time.
"When it comes time to talk about the dating life, it will come out," he said. "She's a great girl and I think that she's an incredible person. Right now, everything on both ends are about both our singles and both our music (sic), and it'll come out. She's great, I'm a big fan. I'll leave it at that."
The news about his blossoming love life emerges seven months after Michael was arrested and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) following a fender bender in Florida just before Christmas (Dec17).
He was also booked for possession of marijuana and later apologised to friends, fans, and family "for the disappointment these events have caused everyone".
