AceShowbiz - Country singer Michael Ray has scored a lucky break after his driving under the influence charge was reduced to a lesser count due to a procedural error. The "Think a Little Less" star was arrested in Florida in December 2017 after bumping his 2012 Jeep into the back of another car while waiting in the drive-through line at a McDonald's fast food restaurant.

He told cops his foot had simply slipped off the brake pedal, but officers asked him to step out of the vehicle to perform a series of sobriety tests after allegedly noticing the smell of alcohol, slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. Ray failed and was booked for DUI, but prosecutors have since ruled police officials did not give the musician the correct instructions for the tests, while they were also found not to have informed him of their criminal investigations, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Their actions allegedly make all comments Ray made during the incident inadmissible in court, forcing prosecutors to settle for the lesser charge of reckless driving.

He also faces a count of felony marijuana possession as weed oil was reportedly found during a search of his belongings.
