AceShowbiz - Tom Cruise looked almost perfect when he attended the premiere of "Mission: Impossible - Fallout" in Tokyo, Japan on Wednesday, July 18, except for one thing. The actor had an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction on the red carpet.

Looking dapper in a black suit with a light purple tie and shirt, he forgot to zip up his fly. He seemed to be unaware of the blunder as he happily waved and smiled to fans before heading into the press conference and photo call.

He only noticed the mishap once he took the stage as his trousers were pulled when he joined co-stars Henry Cavill and Simon Pegg, as well as director Christopher McQuarrie.

Tom sustained an injury while filming the movie in August last year. He broke his ankle while attempting a stunt in which his character jumps between buildings. Filming was put on hold for seven weeks and Tom returned to film more action scenes for the film in October, but it was postponed again because his ankle had not healed properly. The production eventually resumed in February this year.

In a recent interview on French TV show "This Morning", the 56-year-old actor admitted his ankle is still broken following the on-set injury 11 months ago. "I broke an ankle, so they were concerned with running the film. Even though it's still broken, I went through great rehab," he said.

Henry Cavill has praised Tom for his hard work and dedication to the film. "All the usual stuff you hear about Tom - charming, professional, always on time, kind - that's all by-the-by," the "Justice League" star told reporters. "When I met him, I was like, 'OK, good, this is all true'. What got me was that I'm not easily impressed by people, I'm just not. But Tom impressed me."

"He's stunt flying a helicopter in the mountains, all while acting to cameras and all for the audience's sake. I was watching him doing this, and I thought, 'You know what, you just made my impressive list - you're a bad**s,' " he shared.

The sixth "Mission: Impossible" movie is set to hit U.S. theaters on July 27.
