AceShowbiz - Jessica Simpson has fired back at critics who took aim at her parenting skills for allowing her five-year-old son Ace to enjoy pool frolics with his dad while wearing a cast on his arm.

Mom shamers blasted the singer and actress for allowing her husband, Eric Johnson, to toss their kid in the air during a recent family fun day - a moment that was caught on camera and posted on social media last month - and now Jessica has addressed the comments.

"I posted Ace in the pool with a cast on because there is really no stopping a child, that's him, he only has to have the cast on for three weeks, he was in the pool that day (sic)," she told news show Extra. "I don't even know if the cast molded on to him yet. Listen, it makes him happy and it's kids being kids. He is in my husband's hands. I know he's OK.

"If people were in that situation, if they had a husband like mine, they would feel comfortable."
