It's revealed that the 'Yellow' singer asks Cassper Nyovest to perform at the upcoming Global Citizen Festival he is curating.

AceShowbiz - Coldplay star Chris Martin is planning a new collaboration with South African Cassper Nyovest after surprising the singer and producer at his home in Johannesburg.

The Yellow singer asked Cassper to perform at the upcoming Global Citizen Festival he is curating, and dropped by earlier this year to thank him for saying yes.

He'll join fellow Africans like Wizkid and D'banj at the big charity concert, which will be headlined by Beyonce, Jay-Z, and Ed Sheeran.

Cassper was asked to keep the details of the festival line-up to himself, including his involvement, but earlier this week, he was given the OK to promote the event, and he took to Twitter to post photos of the day he spent with Martin.

"By the way, Chris Martin from ColdPlay came to see me at my house the other day," he wrote as a caption. "He told me he loved the song Malome and would like to perform it with me 1 day. He's so passionate about helping & changing the world. Amazing human being. Hopefully we'll get to make some music."

Martin is the curator and co-founder of the festival, which rallies political, business and global leaders to make pledges to alleviate extreme poverty around the world.

This year's event will take place in South Africa on 2 December, when performers will also mark the 100th birthday of late human rights icon Nelson Mandela.
