AceShowbiz - Rapper Tekashi69 has been denied bail after police officers arrested him on an outstanding warrant in New York earlier this week, beg July 09.

The Gotti star, who is wanted by cops in Texas, was taken into custody upon arrival in New York following a European tour, and he acknowledged in court on Thursday, July 12, that his decision to fly overseas instead of facing his legal woes was "irresponsible".

Pleading with the judge to let him go home, the rap star stated his unemployed mother and two-year-old daughter needed him, but no one was buying it, even though his mum appeared in court and sobbed as he was denied bail after prosecutors told the court that he was a flight risk.

Tekashi69 will now remain behind bars until officials from Harris County, Texas pick him up on a misdemeanour assault warrant, according to The Blast. He became a wanted man in Texas after allegedly choking a 16 year old at the Galleria Mall in Houston in January.
