AceShowbiz - Rapper 6ix9ine a.k.a. Tekashi69 has been arrested in New York.

The star became a wanted man in Texas after allegedly choking a 16 year old at the Galleria Mall in January.

6ix9ine's aides have confirmed the rap star was picked up by police as he arrived back in the U.S. following a European tour.

His legal team was aware of a warrant for his arrest and they are currently dealing with the matter.

Tekashi69 has logged up a long list of legal issues this year, and he was forced to postpone two recent U.K. concerts after he was reportedly denied entry into the country on 21 June.

Insiders claim he was illegally refused entry by U.K. border control due to negative headlines, including his alleged involvement in rapper Chief Keef's shooting.

Sources told TMZ customs agents repeatedly informed the rapper he was detained because he had spent more than 12 months behind bars, but those close to the TATI rapper, real name Daniel Hernandez, say he hasn't spent that much time behind bars. His team, who claim they had spent months working in advance to insure he had all the correct paperwork and sponsors for entry, are reportedly insisting his barring was illegal.
