The 'Into You' hitmaker reportedly plans to take a plea deal as he is facing third-degree charges of aggravated assault and making terroristic threats in an incident involving girlfriend Emily B in March.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Fabolous will reportedly avoid jail in his domestic violence case after agreeing to take a plea deal.

The "Into You" hitmaker, real name John Jackson, is facing third-degree charges of aggravated assault and making terroristic threats after an alleged incident with his longtime girlfriend, "Love & Hip Hop" reality star Emily B, in March.

He surrendered to local police in Englewood, New Jersey, and was subsequently released with desk tickets to appear in court at a later date.

He was facing three to five years in prison, but Bossip sources claim the rapper and his lawyer attended a "early disposition hearing" at the Bergen County Superior Court in New Jersey on Thursday and the attorney informed the judge the 40-year-old planned to take a "pre-trial intervention" deal.

If the deal goes through, Fabolous will reportedly plead guilty to a lesser charge and be sentenced to pre-trial intervention and have to attend a diversion programme for first-time offenders. The programme will last between six months and a few years, and if he finishes it, his charges could be expunged.
