AceShowbiz - Following the much-talked about casting, "It: Chapter 2" has moved forward by kicking off the production. And Jessica Chastain has built up fans' excitement as she shared the first glimpse of the horror sequel.
The actress took to her Instagram page to tease her transformation to Beverly Marsh, posting a split picture of her and Sophia Lillis, who played the young version of the Losers' Club member. "DAY 1," she simply captioned it, adding the hashtags #BeverlyMarsh and #ITmovie.
Her co-star James McAvoy, meanwhile, shared Polaroid pictures of the cast on the set of the "It" sequel. Those spotted in the pictures were the "Split" actor, Chastain, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa as well as two of the child actors from the first film, Jack Dylan Grazer and Jaeden Lieberher. "Snapped IT. #itmovie #thedisapearanceofthemoviesweshot #itmovie," he wrote in the caption.
McAvoy stars as Bill, Hader plays Richie, James Ransone is cast as Eddie, Andy Bean portrays Stanley, Jay Ryan is Ben and Mustafa plays Mike. Bill Skarsgard returns as the shape-shifting clown, while Xavier Dolan and Will Beinbrink join the cast in supporting roles.
"It" sequel is set 27 years after the events of the original story. The Losers' Club members, now adults, will return to Derry, Maine to face the evil clown Pennywise once again, unaware that it has returned stronger than ever and has awaited their arrival, waiting to exact its wrathful vengeance upon them.
Andy Muschietti is back as the director, with Gary Dauberman writing the script once again. The movie is set for a September 6, 2019 release in the U.S.
