AceShowbiz - Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon and Conan O'Brien have teamed up to respond to President Donald Trump's attacks on talk show hosts during his speech at a rally on Monday, June 25. In a jointly produced cold open, the three funnymen "hold an emergency late night video conference to discuss Trump's war on late night."

The clip opens with Colbert putting finishing touches on his monologue. That's when Fallon video calls him to talk about what would happen next after the President insulted them. "Hey lowlife!" Fallon calls his CBS compatriot, mimicking the name Trump gave to Colbert at the rally.

Colbert said back, "Hey lost soul!" which Trump used to describe Fallon at the same rally. When Colbert asks Fallon what he's been up to, Fallon admits he's "mostly whimpering," and Colbert sternly reminds him to "be a man," a reference to Trump's tweet about the "Late Night" host.

While neither of them watched the Monday rally where Trump attacked them, they learned that the President called them "no-talent, lowlife, lost souls." Colbert disagrees, saying, "That's not right... that's Conan!"

He then calls O'Brien, who is shaving. The "CONAN" host seems to be unaware that Trump is now president, asking, "The real estate guy who sells steaks? He's President?!" He warns his friends to "be civil, in case this could get ugly."

Colbert and Fallon then make a plan to meet for lunch at Red Hen, the Washington, D.C., where press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was kicked out from last weekend because of her political beliefs.

The cold open appeared on both "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" on CBS and "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on NBC on Tuesday night.

During the rally for South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster, Trump attacked late-night talk show hosts, including Jimmy Kimmel. "I mean, honestly, are these people funny?" he said. "And I can laugh at myself. Frankly, if I couldn't I'd be in big trouble. But there's no talent, he's not, they're not like, talented people."
