AceShowbiz - Jenna Johnson has shown off her new sparkler after announcing her engagement to Valentin Chmerkovskiy on Thursday, June 14. The 24-year-old pro dancer took to Instagram on Friday to flaunt her engagement ring, which features a cushion-cut diamond with a halo setting.
In the picture, she held out her left hand as another hand, likely Val's, was holding hers. She flashed a wide smile to the camera with a beautiful Venice, Italy sunset serving as the background. She captioned it, "He put a ring on it #engaged."
Val shared the same photo on his own Instagram account and simply wrote in the caption, "Fiancee."
According to E! News, Independent Certified Gemologist Appraiser Deborah A. Villepigue estimated that the ring is worth $60,000 to $65,000. Susan of Jacob & Co. said that Val was very involved in the process of selecting the engagement ring. The jeweler said the "Dancing with the Stars" pro stopped into their New York City location to purchase the ring.
The 32-year-old Ukrainian-born dancer got down on one knee and proposed to his girlfriend and fellow "DWTS" pro dancer in a Venetian square during their trip to Italy. The happy couple shared their engagement pictures on Instagram, with Val writing, "I can't wait to make you my wife."
Jenna, meanwhile, gushed, "I knew the moment I met you, you were the man of my dreams and I wanted to be with you forever. Babychka [My love] thank you for making my fairytale come true today! Cannot believe I get to call you my FIANCE!!!! #engaged."
Val and Jenna dated on-and-off beginning in 2015, before breaking up in 2016. They reunited in July 2017, following his short romance with Amber Rose.
