AceShowbiz - Former Glee actress NeNe Leakes has thanked fans and co-stars for their outpouring of support after her husband was diagnosed with cancer.
The TV star, who is also a regular on reality show The Real Housewives of Atlanta, announced Gregg Leakes' health crisis on Wednesday, June 13, weeks after he was hospitalised for heart problems in May.
He has since undergone surgery to remove the tumour, and on Thursday, June 14, NeNe revealed they are now weighing up their other treatment options, including chemotherapy.
"We have been so overwhelmed with the outpouring of love, support, thoughtfulness and prayers," she wrote on Instagram. "Some of you have educated us on cleanses, diets and holistic health care. We wouldn't know some of these things if it wasn't for the reach we have been blessed to have. So far, Gregg is doing great! He feels good with the exception of not being able to eat a lot. The cancer was removed!".
Leakes went on to give special shout outs to pals who had contacted them directly, including Real Housewives castmates Kandi Burruss and Eva Marcille.
She has not revealed specifics about her husband's illness, but insists he's not battling prostate cancer.
NeNe was originally married to the real estate investor from 1997 to 2011, but they reconciled and wed again in 2013.
