The 'America's Got Talent' judge 'literally have not been on my phone for 10 months.'

AceShowbiz - Music mogul Simon Cowell has achieved mental wellness by ditching his cell phone.

The record label boss, who also appears on the judging panels for his hit reality TV shows America's Got Talent, Britain's Got Talent, and The X Factor, chose to part ways with his mobile last summer (17) - and it's truly changed the way he works, both at home and in the office.

"I literally have not been on my phone for 10 months," he told The Daily Mail.

"The difference it made was that I became more aware of the people around me and way more focused," the 58-year-old shared. "The thing I get irritated with is when you have a meeting everyone's on their phone - and I was probably in that place too. You can't concentrate."

Simon's also noticed a marked improvement in his health and happiness.

"It has been good for my mental health," he said. "It's a very strange experience but it really is good for you and it has absolutely made me happier."

It's not the only lifestyle change Cowell has made in recent months, after suffering a concussion following a fall at home in London back in October (17).

"Sometimes we get a reminder that we're not invincible and this was certainly mine. It was a huge shock," Simon told The Sun about the health scare. "They (doctors) think I fainted because I had low blood pressure and so I have got to really take good care of myself to sort that out... After all, I am a dad and have more responsibility than ever."

Cowell is father to four-year-old son Eric with his girlfriend, Lauren Silverman.
