AceShowbiz - Ellen DeGeneres has flipped another California home, making a $4 million (GBP3 million) profit in just eight months.

The comedienne and her wife Portia de Rossi spent just over $7 million (GBP5.2 million) for the Montecito estate last year, and now the couple sold it for $11 million (GBP8.2 million).

Ellen, who has established herself as quite a celebrity interior designer and lifestyle queen, renovated Rancho San Leandro and sold it with a revamped beam-vaulted ceiling and matching fireplaces.

The estate also features a horse barn, guesthouse, olive groves and rose gardens.

DeGeneres and Portia are currently in Rwanda, checking out the site of the new Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, which will serve as a headquarters for scientists studying endangered mountain gorillas. The centre was a 60th birthday gift to Ellen from her wife.
