The Jamaican sprinter loses his gold medal in a 4x100 meter relay after Nesta Carter tested positive for drug use two years ago.

AceShowbiz - Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt's perfect Olympics record has been tainted by a team-mate's drug use.

A Court of Arbitration for Sport panel has dismissed Nesta Carter's appeal against disqualification from the 2008 Beijing Olympics for a positive doping test, which was discovered in 2016.

That means the Jamaican squad's relay gold medal no longer counts as Carter was a member of the team which set a new 4x100-meter relay world record.

Officials at the International Olympic Committee ruled Carter tested positive for the stimulant methylhexaneamine two years ago. They immediately disqualified Jamaica and stripped the runner, Bolt and their two teammates of their relay title.

And on Wednesday, May 30, that decision was upheld in arbitration, spoiling Bolt's perfect Olympic career of three gold medals in the 100, 200 and 4x100 meter relays at three consecutive Olympics - 2008, 2012 and 2016.

The gold medals will go to the Trinidad and Tobago team, which came in second.
