2018 Kerrang! Awards: Foo Fighters Dominates Nominations

The rock band earns three nominations at the event, including Best International Band and Best International Live Act.

AceShowbiz - Foo Fighters look set for a big night at the revived Kerrang! Awards after scoring three nominations for the 2018 ceremony.

The "All My Life" rockers, fronted by Dave Grohl, have landed nominations for Best International Band, Best International Live Act and Best Album for their ninth record "Concrete and Gold".

They will go up against Linkin Park, Metallica, Green Day, Parkway Drive for the Best International Band accolade, and Metallica, Gun N' Roses, Converge and Code Orange for Best International Live Act.

Other nominees for Best Album include Enter Shikari for "The Spark", A Perfect Circle for "Eat The Elephant", Marmozets' "Knowing What You Know Now", and Rolo Tomassi's "Time Will Die And Love Will Bury It".

Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park, who lost his close friend and bandmate Chester Bennington last year, has been nominated for Best Song for "Crossing a Line", the first single from upcoming album "Post Traumatic", alongside "In Bloom" by Neck Deep, "Major System Error" by Marmozets, "Doomsday" by Architects and "Kill4Me" by Marilyn Manson.

Enter Shikari, Biffy Clyro and Architects are all nominated for the Best British Live Act and Best British Band prizes. Other live act nominees including Creeper and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, while the British band category also features Royal Blood and Iron Maiden.

"As Kerrang! enters its 38th year at the heart of the rock scene, the 2018 Awards shortlist is indicative of both rock's illustrious heritage and thrilling future," Kerrang! magazine editor Sam Coare said in a statement.

The awards didn't take place in 2017 while the magazine moved media companies. The 2018 ceremony will be held Islington Assembly Hall in London on June 21.
