AceShowbiz - Is she okay? Ellen Pompeo has a terrifying vacation in Italy as she reveals that a thief stole her purse "from right under my nose!!"
The "Grey's Anatomy" star detailed the story in a Friday, May 25 post on her Instagram account. Alongside a picture of two Italian police officers, she wrote, "I blame the rose!! But Grazia to who ever stole it for dropping it on the street exactly in tact. I was tracking my phone and chasing you down... had I caught you... it would not have ended well for you..."
The 48-year-old went on saying, "I am nice but lets not forget my heritage... NAPOLITANO.... hai furtuno y io hai destine also I hope you were smiling because e Sarai catturato perche sei in macchina. please forgive my horrible Italian."
Italy police saw Ellen's Instagram post and reposted it on its official account. They appreciated her supportive message and wrote, "#Thankyou @EllenPompeo #GreysAnatomy Happy to know the #Police in #Florence helped you."
Ellen's post also caught her "Grey's Anatomy" co-star Gicomo Gianniotti's attention. Gianiotti, who was born in Rome and speaks fluent Italian, commented, "Cmon Ellen! You didn't hit up your boy for an Italian translation? Haha I'll be there in July and I'll be on the prowl for your boy, he don't stand a chance. Glad you are safe!"
The horrible ordeal aside, Ellen is enjoying her getaway in Florence alongside her daughters, Stella and Sienna. The Meredith Gey depicter, who is married to Chris Ivery, shares a photo of stunning architecture in the gorgeous city in addition to a snap of her daughters gazing out into a river.
