AceShowbiz - Ellen Pompeo passed as a normal citizen during a recent outing. The actress portraying Dr. Meredith Grey on "Grey's Anatomy" was barely recognizable when she was recently spotted during a coffee run.

On Tuesday, November 12, the 55-year-old actress was out and about in Los Angeles, California. In a series of pictures that made their rounds online, it could be seen that she was grabbing coffee. She appeared to have stepped out alone as no one else was seen around her.

Ellen, who embraced her natural look, was photographed walking on the side of a street while carrying two cups of hot drink and a brown paper bag. Throughout the stroll, she showed a stoic expression without a smile on her face.

For the relaxing outing, Ellen opted to wear a cozy outfit. She donned a light gray hoodie underneath an oversized long-sleeved black knitted cardigan, which came with a very low-cut V-neck design and a pocket on its front side.

The former "Station 19" star, who ditched her makeup, completed the look with a pair of loose dark blue pants, which were long enough to nearly cover her ankles, and black shoes. In addition, her blonde hair was covered with a black hat. She also carried a big brown leather handbag, in which she kept her belongings.

The new sighting came a few days after Ellen celebrated her birthday. On November 10, the "Life of the Party" actress turned 55 years old. While she did not upload any photos or videos to celebrate the special day on her social media page, her fans made sure to wish her a happy birthday.

Some of them took to Instagram to share their best wishes for Ellen. In the comments section of her January 16 post, one in particular wrote, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, QUEEN ELLEN! WE NEED AN UPDATE. STOP YOUR SILENT ERA PLS." Similarly, another chimed in, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY your my favorite person ever and greys never the same without you."
