Jason Bateman reveals in 'Good Morning America' that Mitch Hurwitz has 'talked a little' about the possible adaption.

AceShowbiz - The creator of cult series "Arrested Development" is considering a stage musical version of the sitcom.

Actor Jason Bateman shared the news in a cast interview on breakfast show "Good Morning America" on Monday, May 21, when he was asked if a musical episode of the recently revived TV hit would ever happen.

"(Creator) Mitch Hurwitz has actually toyed not so comedically about doing a live Arrested Development show, actually," he shared of the possible theatre plans. "He's talked a little bit about that. I don't know if that will happen."

Hurwitz has yet to personally share his thoughts on the idea.

"Arrested Development", which also stars Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, Jeffrey Tambor, Michael Cera, and David Cross originally aired on TV from 2003 to 2006.

It was revived for a fourth season for Netflix in 2013, and a fifth season debuts on the streaming service this month.
