Talking on Australian radio station 'Nova', the 'Karma Chameleon' singer admitted life is so much better without drink and drugs.

AceShowbiz - Boy George has reflected on his sobriety as he celebrates 10 years of being drink and drug-free. The Culture Club frontman rose to fame in the '80s, but as well as chart success, George quickly descended into addiction.

At the height of his drug-taking, George once had a $540-a-day heroin habit, but after being jailed for assault and false imprisonment a decade ago, the 56-year-old finally kicked his habit.

Talking on Australian radio station "Nova", the "Karma Chameleon" singer admitted life is so much better without drink and drugs. "Obviously when you're in it, it's only when you get quality clean time, as you know, you go 'oh wow, how did I do that? How the f**k did I do ten years?'" he mused. "But I would say everything good in my life is because I'm clean and I'm able to really enjoy what I do in a way I couldn't before."

He added, "Now as an older man, I sort of think if you'd told me 30 years ago that I'd be in Australia on a music show giving people advice, I don't think we knew what was possible."

"Nova" host Ashley Bradnam was in full admiration of the English star, revealing that he too is sober, and looked up to George as an inspiration.

George is one of the coaches on the current series of "The Voice Australia", alongside Delta Goodrem, Kelly Rowland and Joe Jonas.
