AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lopez has always been known for rocking high-slit dress, but this one is probably the highest slit dress that she sported at an event. The New York-born songstress showed a lot of leg on the red carpet at the Robin Hood Foundation's Gala on May 15.

Jenny turned heads in a black Alex Perry gown that featured a slit cut from above the navel down to the floor. She teamed the daring gown with a bejeweled clutch, matching Charlotte Olympia shoes and sparkly jewels from Yeprem.

However, if you look closely, the slit actually started at the very top of her thigh. A lengthy stretch of beige fabric gave the illusion that her torso was on display as well when it was actually not. Regardless of the amount of skin that actually peeked out from beneath the dress, the gown itself was no doubt sexy and bold.

Jenny heated things up inside the event as well. In addition to having some sweet PDA moments with Alex Rodriguez, she hit the stage at the charity event, performing some of her hit tracks.

Her attendance at the event came after she revealed in an interview that people told her to lose weight when she just started her career. "They didn't bother me at all. But I got a lot of flak for it from people in the industry," she told InStyle. "They'd say, 'You should lose a few pounds,' or 'You should do this or do that.' "

According to her, the frequency of people telling her to lose weight "got to the point that I was like, 'This is who I am. I'm shaped like this.' " She added, "Everybody I grew up with looked like that, and they were all beautiful to me. I didn't see anything wrong with it. I still don't!"
