Celebrity

The 'Mr. Tambourine Man' hitmaker has teamed up with bosses at Angel's Envy to create three whiskeys.

AceShowbiz - Bob Dylan has added his name to the list of celebrities getting into the liquor business with a new line of whiskeys. The "Mr. Tambourine Man" hitmaker has teamed up with bosses at Angel's Envy to create three whiskeys.

"We both wanted to create a collection of American whiskeys that, in their own way, tell a story," a statement from Dylan to the New York Times reads. "I've been travelling for decades, and I've been able to try some of the best spirits that the world of whiskey has to offer. This is great whiskey."

Dylan was very involved in the creative process, and the artwork for the bottles features iron gates made at his own shop.

"The iron gates depicted on bottles of Heaven's Door Whiskey were created by Bob Dylan at his metalworking shop, Black Buffalo Ironworks, and are comprised of found objects collected from farms and scrap yards across America: 'everything from farm equipment, children's toys, kitchen utensils and antique fire arms to chains, cogs, axes and wheels'," a message on the whiskey line's website reads.

Dylan is also planning to release a line inspired by his The Bootleg Series Volumes 1-3 next year (19). He is also looking to expand the partnership with a distillery in 2019.

"Our goal is to expand the collection with new expressions of Heaven's Door as a 'never-ending tour', in keeping with our mission to collaborate with craft distillers and blenders across the country on a continuous basis," the message on the website continues. "We have some exciting partnerships in the works..."
