The show set to take place at the Laugardalsvollur soccer stadium in Reykjavik on July 24 will attract 15,000 concertgoers.

AceShowbiz - Rock icon Guns N' Roses is set to make music history in Iceland this summer by performing at the country's biggest ever concert. Frontman Axl Rose and his bandmates will headline the show at the Laugardalsvollur soccer stadium in Reykjavik on July 24 as part of an event planned by the same officials behind the country's annual Secret Solstice festival.

According to local outlet the Iceland Monitor, it will take organisers about a week to prepare the venue, which has a capacity of 15,000, for the huge gig.

Renovations set to be carried out include the construction of special flooring to protect the grass, while the massive stage will be fitted with giant screens.

The band is also expected to have 150 staff members on hand to help pull off the show, which is part of the ongoing Guns N' Roses classic line-up reunion tour, featuring guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan.
