AceShowbiz - The long-awaited "Avengers: Infinity War" is almost here. "Iron Man" director Jon Favreau attended the world premiere of the highly-anticipated movie on Monday, April 23 in Hollywood, Los Angeles. While gracing the red carpet, he revealed whether or not he would appear in the movie.

At the event, he revealed that he would not reprise his role as Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) bodyguard Harold "Happy" Hogan in the flick. Instead, the "Chef (2014)" star served as the movie's executive producer. He said, "I'm not in this movie. Spoiler alert, but I'm an executive producer."

Jon went on revealing that his next portrayal of Happy in big screen would come in 2019's "Avengers 4". "And I'm in... I think I can say I'm in the next movie, 'Avengers 4'," said Jon. "Is that fair to say?"

Following his acting/ directorial debut in MCU's first movie "Iron Man", he has gone on to reprise his role as Happy in "Iron Man 2", "Iron Man 3" and also "Spider-Man: Homecoming". In addition to reprising his role, Jon served as director and producer for "Iron Man 2". Meanwhile, he served as executive producer in the third installment. For being the first director in Marvel who also stars in the movie he directs, fans call him a trailblazer.

After executive producing "Infinity War", Jon still has several projects ahead. He will voice alien Rio Durant in "Solo: A Star Wars Story". Moreover, the 51-year-old actor has been tapped to executive produce "Avengers 4" that will be released on May 3, 2019 in the United States. He is also set to direct and produce "The Lion King (2019)" that will hit U.S. theaters on July 19, 2019.

Jon previously worked on several other projects, including "The Big Bang Theory" spin-off "Young Sheldon". He directed and executive produced the first episode of the series. On March 8, Lucasfilm announced that Jon would write and executive produce a "Star Wars" live-action TV series. Jon said at that time, "I can't wait to embark upon this exciting adventure."

Jon's other credits also include "Cowboys and Aliens", "Zathura" and "The Jungle Book".
